FAVORITE TALK

"What really matters at the end of life" by BJ Miller

Human beings often wish for simple comfort, respect, and love at the end of our lives. BJ Miller is a palliative care physician who explains that since negativity and suffering are made up by ourselves, we can change it: how we die is indeed something we can affect. When I watched the TED talk of "What really matters at the end of life", it really changed my aspects of life. The idea of a shift in perspective had caught my eye and made me rethink about death and how we should honor life through his story. I've enjoyed this talk because of how he cares about creating a dignified and graceful end of lives for his patients so deeply. The way he expresses that we can learn to live well not in spite of death but because of it if we can love moments ferociously touched me a lot.
